Last trip to my favorite swedish store

My last trip to Ikea was actually a while back.  I don't even remember exactly when I went but I know it has been a couple of months.  But....since I am so behind on my blogging I am just going to go ahead and give you a little Ikea window shopping tonight.

I just love this pendant lamp (I think that is maybe what it is called...)    I think it feels nautical.  Would probably look good hanging in my house somewhere.

I took a picture of this so I would remember it later.  I think it would be perfect to hang Emma's future masterpieces and works of art!

Pretty sure I took a picture of this kitchen for the shelving.  At the time I was looking for shelf options for Emma's room.  Don't you just love the open shelving in the kitch though?

I loves this one!  I think it would be perfect on the wall between my pantry and laundry nook.  Especially love the little hooks on the bottom to hang aprons, bibs, dish towels, etc..

I am thinking this is the table I want in my dining area.  I definitely think a round one would fit much better than another shape.  I would have to find it in black or dark brown though.  What I loved about this one most is that it opens up and extends to fit more people.  How perfect would that be?!

I actually ended up picking up one of these.  They are shoe storage bins.  They come in a 3 pack.  We hung two by the front door to corral the shoe clutter.  We hung the third in Emma's room behind her bedroom door.  This was my first attempt at teaching her about cleaning and organization!!  So far though all she has managed to learn is how to take the shoes out...
As for our shoe clutter by the front door?  This has been the best organizing tool for them.  I highly recommend if you too have a shoe clutter problem.

Mommy...I am bored!

Until....I found myself!

There I am again!

Sliding into Ikea children's department

She found this cute little chair!

Very relaxing...

Any of y'all done any Ikea shopping lately?  Do you take pictures of things you like to remind yourself of them later? No?  I am just cool like that I guess.

Baby Emma

Can you see the drool?
Sorry I have not posted in a while.  What can I say...I'm a bad blog mommy.  Any who...I was getting ready to upload some new pictures when I came across these and I could not help but post.  This seems like only yesterday and makes me want to cry hysterically.  My baby is growing up so fast!  Boo Hoo...

look at that hair...hee hee!

Hope to be back soon with a couple of new posts of projects I have been working on.  Until then..Have a great week!

Learning her early

Yep, that is my baby holding a screwdriver.  Yes, I am very proud!

My most wonderful in-laws gave us Justin's old dresser from his childhood bedroom.  My plan is to do some DIY paint and restoration to it and put it in Bunny's room.  These pictures were taken on Saturday when I was starting the process of taking off the hardware and priming the drawers.  Bunny had been watching Justin and I using the screwdriver and just when we put it down she decided to pick it up and help us out a little.  She's so sweet!

Anyhow..just wanted to share a few pictures of her being so helpful!

Sorry for the lack of posts.  Being a full time mommy and full time nurse is a lot of work.  I will try and do better! =)

I will try and take pictures to post as I continue my progress on the dresser update.

These photos are from our recent trip to Austin.  We were on the playground at Amy's Ice Cream!

On the Amy's cow...except you can't tell it is a cow from the picture.

Can't you just see the pure joy on her face!

 Hi Cow!

The next morning I enjoyed this wonderful latte at Once Over Coffee Bar...it was truly delicious!  I highly recommend!   Here is the link in case you want to check em out..  onceovercoffeebar.com
